If that sounds like an oxymoron, get used to it. LeGros thrives on contradiction, He's built a career out of obfuscation-always concealing as much as he reveals. This close-to-the-vest style has suckered filmgoers into projecting their own dearly held stereotypes onto his characters. .. at which point, with an aw-shucks grin, LeGros usually turns over a full house, Always working the cool bluff, he's managed to breathe life into roles that would have been sheetrock-stiff in less subtle hands. ......
